For more than 16 years, The Mountain School has been providing quality, Waldorf-insipired care for children ages two-years-and-nine-months to six years of age. Our Faculty brings a wealth of training, experience, and dedication to our homelike classrooms every day. Our parent community is committed and involved, and our children, we are told, go home singing!

The Mountain School is a joyful, harmonious world for early childhood play and learning, a school unlike any other. It is a place where children know the warmth and security of home; the magic of stories, songs, and universal myths; and the wonder of the world around us. A nonprofit organization, the school was founded in 1990 by a group of parents who wanted to offer Marin families a new approach to early childhood education. Our school applies the principles of Waldorf education in a framework that is uniquely our own.
The Mountain School is a not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization, California Community Care Licensing Facility #210111331.
