As with many private institutions, The Mountain School relies on a variety of fundraising mechanisms to make up the difference between our operating expenses and those funds provided through annual tuition.

Winter Book and Toy Sale
  • The Mountain School has a small but excellent selection of books, relating specifically to the child under seven,  available for purchase in the office, We also can order any title (i.e. best sellers, cookbooks) with a turn-around time of a few days. All proceeds benefit The Mountain School.
  • Each year in November, we hold a sale of hard-to-find toys and books for children. This is an important fundraiser for the school. Catalogs and order forms are distributed in early November, and some items may be displayed at a November parent evening. With very few exceptions, the merchandise arrives in time for the holidays.
eScrip  
  • the eScrip program is a fundraising program that allows participating merchants to contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to the school. Many area grocery stores such as Safeway, Paradise Foods, Woodland Market,  Andronico’s, and Mollie Stones participate;  local stores, and hundreds of online websites such as Apple, Barnes & Noble, eBay, and Target participate in the program. United Markets (100 Red Hill Avenue, San Anselmo/515 3rd Street, San Rafael)
  • gives our school 5% of what we spend there! Please take a card from the school bulletin board for yourself as well as for your neighbor/family member, and remember to show this card to the checker at United Market.
Mill Valley Market (12 Corte Madera Avenue, downtown Mill Valley)
  • gives our school 5% of what you spend there.  Please mention our school at check out;  we are #7057 (listed also at the check-out counter), not to be confused with “Ring Mountain School”.
Office Depot
  • gives our school credit for 5% of what you spend there.  Our school ID is #70207810.
Book Passage
  • makes a contribution to our school for each purchase you make.  Just mention us by name!
